As the son of a professional bodybuilder, Shaun Zetlin was exposed to weightlifting and exercise at a very young age. After overcoming his own physical limitations having been born with club feet and gross motor skills, coupled with a lack of confidence as a young boy, Shaun has now made it his mission in adulthood to share his passion, knowledge, and inspiration about proper fitness & health with a positive mindset to help others reach their health and fitness goals.


For 20 years, Shaun has successfully run his own personal training & nutrition business in the New York City Metro area. Able to relate and adapt to each client, Shaun prides himself on developing exercise programs and nutritional plans that address each person's individual needs. His clientele reflects all walks of life, from the beginner to the bodybuilder, the expectant mother, the seasoned athlete, the senior citizen, the professional dancer... Shaun's specialties include: strength & conditioning, weight loss, corrective exercise, and power techniques.

In addition to instilling proper exercise and eating principles in his clients, Shaun also strives to educate others via: books, articles, instructional videos, lecture demonstrations, continuing education courses, and appearances on radio, podcasts, and television.

His highly-acclaimed book, "Push-up Progression (2nd Edition)," has already achieved great success and notoriety in the world of fitness. It is currently featured in bookstores across the United States and United Kingdom in paperback, and available wherever e-books are sold. Shaun has received the distinct honor from The National Academy of Sports Medicine and the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) in being approved as a continuing education provider for his course, "Push-up Progression Specialist." Shaun is excited to have other fitness professionals earn continuing education credits for taking his course towards their NASM certified personal trainer certificate.


His first full-length book, "Push-up Progression Workout for a Stronger Core," is currently available worldwide both in paperback and e-book formats. It was featured as one of three top books in 2013 for healthy living as selected by Dr. John Whyte of Discovery Channel. Shaun has had a multitude of articles, program designs, and tips published within a variety of books, magazines, and on websites in the world of fitness and beyond including: Price World Publishing, Demos Medical Publishing, Livestrong, Rodale Books, OnFitness Magazine, Fitness Magazine, Brides Magazine, and GO: AirTran Magazine. Additionally, Fitness Professional Online recognizes Shaun as an "expert," where he answers questions for other fitness and health professionals.

Shaun is a wonderful motivator and I’ve found him to be a very focused trainer. He has the ability to tailor your routine so it’s anything but boring. It makes me look forward to training. He is extremely dedicated and works as hard as a lumberjack to push you to reach your goals. He is not one to waste your time with idle chit-chat. He takes your time together very seriously, every last minute. While Shaun pushes me very hard he is also very adaptable. If I need to take it easy on a particular day he’ll back away from his roadhouse routine to something slower and more appropriate. His knowledge of nutrition is unparalleled. Shaun knows exactly how many calories are in a slab of beef or a side of bacon. He works with me to keep an eye on what my diet is and should be. His guidance stays with you too. Occasionally, it’s as if he’s sitting down to dinner with you as you’re deciding what to choose from a menu. I travel a great deal and Shaun works with my strange schedule sometimes allowing me to train as many as six times a week. This seven-year old approach has worked for me since 2006 and has yielded life-changing results. Shaun’s work has transformed my body more than I ever could have dreamed. I began training just hoping to lose a few pounds. I have lost 6 inches off my waist and gained a tremendous amount of lean muscle. After a lifetime of debilitating self-consciousness about my body, I now go to the beach and am happy and proud of the way I look.
